Woman hit by a bike on Gloucester Road remains in critical condition

A woman remains in hospital with a serious head injury after being hit by a bike at a busy junction near The Arches in Bristol.

The incident happened at the junction of Gloucester Road and Zetland Road, last Wednesday (December 8) at about 10.20pm.

The cyclist involved stopped at the scene.

A worker from the Prince of Wales pub close by came out to help the injured woman.

A defibrillator next to the pub was also brought out, but did not need to be used.

Avon and Somerset Police say the woman is in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

The force, which says the family of the woman is aware, is appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage of the incident.
