Two Bristol independent cafes named among ‘most popular’ in UK

Two independent cafes with sites in Bristol have been named among the ten most popular in the UK. 

Society Cafe and Origin Coffee Roasters rank sixth and seventh respectively in the data analysis by Betway.

The online gambling company analysed data from Instagram, TikTok and Google search volume of more than 300 independent cafes and coffee roasters. 

Society Cafe, which has sites on Farr's Lane and Baldwin Street, was found to have almost 145,200 global searches per year and 309,200 thousand TikTok views. 

Origin Coffee Roasters, which opened a cafe on Victoria Street in autumn 2023, had 118,800 global searches and 143,800 TikTok views.  

Federal in Manchester was found to be the most popular independent cafe in the UK, with the second highest annual search volume (397,200) and the seventh highest number of TikTok views in the entire ranking (1.1 million).

The study also ranked the most popular cafes in the world, crowning Onibus Coffee in Tokyo as the most popular indie cafe globally with more than half a million TikTok views and 82,000 Instagram posts.
