Origin Coffee Roasters opens its first Bristol store today

An award-winning coffee roasters opens its first Bristol store today (September 29). It will be the first store outside Cornwall and London for the Porthleven-based Origin Coffee Roasters.

The store will open on the Victoria Street site previously occupied by Friska and it will have for people to drink in the store as well as takeaway their coffees.

Origin Coffee Roasters was founded in 2004 by Tom Sobey and it has an ethos of sourcing the best coffee sustainably.

Until now, the Origin stores have been in Cornwall and London although their coffees have been served in a number of Bristol coffee shops including Society Cafe.

A spokesperson for Origin said: “Our first coffee shop beyond Cornwall and London marks a new chapter in our story, as we continue in pursuit of coffee excellence.

“Victoria Street has been designed to create an inclusive space to meet, pause, discover, and share.

“Working once again with the brilliant interior designer, Megan Sadler, Victoria Street compromises a custom-fitted coffee shop, providing a modern and sleek space to explore the latest in our ever-evolving coffee menu, alongside a dedicated training area, designed to take coffee journeys further.”

Origin opens its 36 Victoria Street store this morning.
