Sunbathing, strikes and nightclub demolition - 8 glorious pics of Bristol as city basks in the sun

It’s a day to go out and enjoy the sunshine

It’s Friday (June 16), and Bristol is basking in the sun as temperatures are set to rise to 28C later today - even matching the warmth in sunny resorts abroad like Malaga.

This morning we took a Voi e-scooter from Temple Quay to Clifton, and back, to capture scenes of the city as people came out to enjoy the warm weather.

Along with pictures of people sat in the sun, we also went to see the nightclub being demolished and spoke to union members taking part in strike action outside the Bristol Royal Infirmary and University of Bristol.

But enjoy the weather while it lasts. Heavy and thundrery showers are expected this weekend with temperatures also falling to around 23C.
