Santa's Christmas float through Bristol streets cancelled due to weather

A Christmas float's planned appearance in a Bristol neighbourhood has been rescheduled due to bad weather.
Santa's Christmas Float was due to travel through the streets of Knowle West this evening (December 4), before organisers cancelled the event earlier in the day.

Hide AdIn a Facebook post this afternoon, the organisers said the float had been 'cancelled due to heavy rain but don’t panic it will be rescheduled'.
In a follow-up post, they said that it will now pass through the area a week later than planned, on Monday, December 11.
The Met Office is predicting non-stop rain until 1am on Tuesday (December 4).
Santa's Christmas Float is celebrating its fourth birthday this year and features snow, smoke and magical effects.

Hide AdIts first appearance this year was on Saturday (December 2), travelling through Box, Bathford, Batheaston and Lower Swainswick. Yesterday (December 3), it went through Keynsham.
The cart is raising money for Suicide Prevention Bristol, after raising £13,500 for the charity last year and £15,000 for the Ben Saunders Foundation in 2021.
It is one of two Christmas floats which, as well as raising money for charity, pass through the Bristol area in December.
