The 16-year-old’s family are being supported by specially-trained officers as police continue to piece together the circumstances leading up to the crash.

Police are especially keen to speak to the driver of a silver or beige Vauxhall Insignia which had stopped at the traffic lights where the collision happened.

A 27-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving remains released under investigation while enquiries continue.

If you saw the crash or have dashcam footage, call 101 and give reference number 5222091120.
