Very few people can remember how life was lived during the 1930s - a decade that brought economic crisis through the Great Depression and ended with the outbreak of Second World War (WW2).
The city of Bristol might not have known it yet, but it would change immeasurably in just a few years time. Throughout 1940 and 1941, much of the city centre and its surrounding areas were obliterated by high explosive and incendiary bombs as the Luftwaffe targeted its docks and shipping yards.
Life would never be the same for those living in the city. BristolWorld has pulled together 15 images showing how everyday life looked before global conflict. They show a bustling city packed with beautiful architecture and simplier times, enjoy.
