A popular Bristol community pub that closed suddenly earlier this year has reopened with a new team after a £210,000 makeover.

The Cossham Inn on Charlton Road, Kingswood, closed in May, just 18 months after it reopened after the pandemic.

The pub, once known as The Warwick Arms, is part of Proper Pubs, a division of Admiral Taverns, which has more than 185 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.

New landlords Tim Crocker and Alice Robinson have a wealth of knowledge and experience of the local area, having lived in Bath for over two years and been local to Bristol their whole life.

Inside, the pub has undergone a complete transformation to create a brand-new look and feel with fresh décor. With a complete interior redecoration, the pub features a brand-new bar, flooring and furniture throughout.

Outside, the beer garden has been redeveloped, which includes new lighting and seating to ensure use all year round.

The pub will be celebrating its reopening with an action-packed weekend of live music, complimentary fizz, karaoke and a DJ, as well as plenty of live Sky and TNT sports.

The Cossham Inn will be offering a wide range of drinks offers, including Wine Wednesday, where customers can get £2 off a bottle. On Fizz Fridays, customers can get a bottle of fizz for £10, along with cocktails, bottle and shot deals throughout the week.

New landlord Tim Crocker said: “The pub looks fantastic, and we can’t believe the transformation. We’re really excited to get behind the bar, meet all our customers and support our local community.

"We’ll be starting off by collecting food for a local food bank, and donations to get a defibrillator installed. Pubs are the hub of their community, and we can’t wait to be the hub of Kingswood.”

The Cossham Inn will host regular darts and pool team league evenings. Customers can also expect to enjoy regular weekend entertainment, such as karaoke and DJ nights.

Tim and Alice are keen to support local causes, including the local foodbank and will be initially aiming to raise money to install a lifesaving defibrillator at The Cossham Inn.
