Maisie Williams will appear in an Instagram Live for food poverty crowdfunder, The Mazi Project today. The actress, 26, who is from Bristol, was first announced as the ambassador of the project last year and has been working with them to help “empower marginalised 16 - 25 year olds, and help them to reach their potential.”
The youth-led food organisation is funded by grants, corporate scholarships and public donations. Currently they support 70 marginalised 16-25 year olds across Bristol with up to three meal kits delivered weekly.

A video posted on The Mazi Project Instagram page introduces Maisie as an ambassador and the Game of Thrones star speaks about why she’s committed to helping the cause. She can be seen building and delivering the meal kit boxes throughout her hometown of Bristol.
Maisie says: “I grew up in Bristol under the poverty line, and although my life has changed dramatically, I think the impact that it had on me is still felt today.
“I’ve always found food to be a really healing part of my day, and I can really see the connection between the good and the help that the Mazi Project can bring - and doing that through food.”
