Using two high pressure hose reels and a ‘covering jet’, they extinguished the blaze.

Crews then used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots, before spending time damping down the property and delivering safety advice to neighbours.

Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The cause of the fire is thought to have been accidental ignition.

Advice from Avon and Fire Rescue on batters, including e-scooter Lithium-ion batteries states that they can present a risk when over-charged, short-circuited or submerged in water.

The service recommends not leaving batteries continuously on charge after they are fully charged.

Yesterday, it was reported that Bristol City Council planned to roll out the Voi e-scooter trial across the entirety of Bristol.
