‘Kind-hearted caring boy’ killed crash in Bristol named as heartbroken family pay tribute
A teenage motorcyclist killed in a crash on the A4 Bath Road near Bristol has been named - as his family paid tribute to the 18-year-old.
Alex Thompson, from Keynsham, died at the scene of the collision on the main road between Brislington and the Hicks Gate roundabout, which happened on Thursday at around 3.45pm.

Hide AdToday, he was named by police and his family issued a tribute. A fundraiser has also been set up in his name with more tributes issued, with £4,000 raised so far.
The family said: “My Alex was such a kind-hearted caring boy and always wore a cheeky smile. “He was loved by everyone who he crossed paths with. He made a massive impact in just 18 short years of life and we have so much support from everyone that knew him at such a difficult time.
“He had his whole life ahead of him, he was on his way to pick up the keys to his first flat. He will forever make us proud.”Police are supporting the family with a specially-trained family liaison officer.
The force also continues its appeal for witnesses of the the crash, or who saw the Yamaha motorcycle or a blue Vauxhall Crossland in the time leading up to the collision to get in touch by calling 101 and quote reference 5223147737.
