Holes appearing in newly-resurfaced roads - council investigating

More than a dozen roads in north Bristol and on the outskirts of the city may need to be relaid after problems with the quality of resurfacing work.
South Gloucestershire Council has named 21 road where the issues have arised. At many of them , visual defects are clear, and the new suface has even started to come off with holes appearing.

Hide AdIn a statement to BristolWorld, a spokesperson said the authoirty had no safety concerns about the effected road surfaces, but advised residents to take care not to bring any of the material into their homes.
The problem is all down to a micro asphalt surfacing mixed used by the council’s contractors, which the council said ‘would appear to be defective’.
The council is now investigating and aiming to take action ‘as soon as we can’. When asked, the council would not name the contractor.
The spokesperson: “We don’t have any safety concerns around the condition of the effected road surfaces, but we will continue to closely monitor them while we agree a suitable resolution with the contractor that carried out the work.

The roads affected are: Kingswood - Abbotswood, Cains Close, High Elm, Berkeley Close, Langford Way, Maesbury
Filton - Bevan Court
Mangotsfield - Stockwell Drive
Yate and Chipping Sodbury - Bredon, Lilliput Avenue, Littledean, Lyndale Road
Charfield - Avon Road, Manor Lane, Orchard Close, Underhill Road
Pucklechurch - Homefield Road, Orchard Road, Springfield Close
Thornbury - Queens Road
