Fire crews tackled two fires at a village playground in the early hours of this morning (December 19). A crew from Bedminster attended the fires involving rubbish and play equipment at Whitchurch Village Playground off Bristol Road at 1.15am.

The playground is situated on a one acre site and is popular with local families and children. Two years ago it got an upgrade with a multi-use games area added. There are now also picnic benches and equipment for all ages of children.
