The tour, called Elton John Farewell Yellow Brick Road: The Final Tour, will go around the UK, Europe and North America.

The singer said: “I want to go out with a bang and say thank you and leave people thinking, ‘God I saw the last tour and it was fantastic.”

Yesterday, following the announcement for a second date, Bristol Sport welcomed the ‘fantastic news’.

Head of venue Jenny Hutchinson said: “As Elton has said it will be the last chance to secure a ticket to what will be his final performance ever, here in the South West.”
