Doctor Who filming in Frederick Place Bristol - pictures show the Tardis has arrived

Frederick Place has been transformed into Christmas scenes for Doctor Who

Doctor Who fans in Bristol were given a treat today as the Tardis has arrived on set in Clifton.

The iconic police telephone box was spotted being unloaded by film crews in Frederick Place and captured by Bristol blogger Dan Martin of lifestyledistrict.co.uk.

Streets around Clifton have been turned into London’s Notting Hill for filming of the upcoming Doctor Who special. Christmas decorations have been added to properties in Frederick Place, which also has a Notting Hill bus stop.

The latest filming is taking place a short walk from busy Queens Road. Frederick Place has new signs for ‘Minto Road’ in W11, the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Nearby Wetherell Place was also used for filming last month and renamed ‘Forebridge Street’ in W11 rather than BS8. The iconic sci-fi show has used Bristol for filming locations for several months.

Last summer, Dr Who stars David Tennant and Catherine Tate were spotted filming in St Stephen’s Avenue and Corn Street.
