Doctor Who filming in Bristol - pictures show renamed streets and new shop frontage
Streets in BS8 have been given new names with Notting Hill postcodes
Streets around Clifton have been cordoned off and turned into London’s Notting Hill for filming of the upcoming Doctor Who special.
The iconic sci-fi show has used Bristol for filming locations for several months. Last summer, David Tennant and Catherine Tate were spotted filming in St Stephen’s Avenue and Corn Street.
The latest filming is taking place around Park Place in Clifton, a short walk from busy Queens Road. An architects’ office has been given a new signage for ‘First Steps Architects’ and plans in the window are for London properties dated 2024.
Around the corner in Frederick Place has new signs for ‘Minto Road’ in W11, the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Nearby Wetherell Place is also closed for filming and has been renamed ‘Forebridge Street’ in W11 rather than BS8.
It is not yet known whether David Tennant or other Doctor Who stars have arrived in the city for filming yet.
