Teenage boy taken to hospital after attack by ‘drunk’ man on Y5 bus

A teenage boy was taken to hospital after he was hit in the face several times by a ’drunk’ fellow passenger while on a bus.
Avon and Somerset Police has issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to over the assault of the 15-year-old boy on the Y5 bus from Staple Hill on April 12 at around 7pm.

Hide AdPolice say the boy was first approached by the man, who appeared drunk and demanded money. When the victim refused, the man hit the boy in the face several times, causing facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
The offender got off the bus in the Shortwood Road area of Pucklechurch after the driver ordered him to leave.
The victim is now recovering at home but continues to receive treatment for his injuries.
The offender is described as being white, aged in his 30s, of medium build, with short dark hair. He wore a dark jacket, a light coloured buttoned-up shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes. He was carrying a dark holdall/gym bag and a plastic carrier bag.
