Police have issued an update on an investigation into the death of man hit by a car while on his way to work in south Bristol on Sunday night (July 10).
The victim, in his 20s, was struck by a grey Audi A3 vehicle on the pavement of the A4174 Airport Road just before 10pm. He sadly died at the scene.
Two men, both aged 30, were arrested by police at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Today (July 12), an Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said one of the men had now been released on conditional bail and the other released under investigation.
The difference between the two is that under bail the man arrested has been given a date to report back to police.
The force is appealing for witnesses to the incident or the Audi being driven before the crash to call 101.
