Man hit ‘multiple’ times to the head in vicious attack outside Popworld nightclub

A man was punched and kicked several times in the head in an unprovoked attack outside a nightclub in Bristol city centre. Avon and Somerset Police have today issued a CCTV appeal as they attempt to trace a man over the incident.

The attack took place outside Popworld in Baldwin Street on Sunday, March 5, at aroud 3am. Police say the man was punched and kicked multiplel times to the head before the offender made off down Baldwin Street.

The victim suffered a suspected broken nose and was sent to hospital. He is now at home recovering. Latest figures show the number of crimes recorded by police in Bristol went up 9% in a year to the year ending last September.

Officers would like to speak to a man who they believe could help their investigation. He is described as white, between 5ft 10ins and 6ft 1ins tall, and thought to be aged 25-35 years old.

He has brown hair and a brown beard and moustache. He is shown wearing a white shirt, a black T-shirt, blue jeans and black trainers with white laces.
