An inquest has opened into the death of a Bristol man whose body was pulled from a river after he went missing last year.

Kevin Crewe was tragically found dead in the water off Feeder Road, St Phillips, on September 15.

The 62-year-old had gone missing after failing to return from an evening out on September 13, the inquest opening at Avon Coroner’s Court heard on Wednesday morning (January 26) heard.

Police said he was last seen on East Street wearing a Bristol Rovers shirt.

The provisional cause of death was given as immersion in water.

Area coroner Peter Harrowing re-listed the full inquest for April 7 at 10am.
