Avon and Somerset Police has confirmed to Bristol World that a homicide investigation has been launched as a result of the man’s death.

A cordon is up around the front of the block of flats where the address is located. Crime scene investigation officers are inside while neighbourhood officers patrol the surrounding area.

Inspector Tola Munro said: “We’re working hard to establish the full circumstances which led to this man’s death and while our inquiry is at a very early stage, we’re confident this is an isolated incident between two people known to each other.
