Family tribute to ‘wonderful much-loved son’ as woman is charged with his murder

A woman has been charged with the murder of a 22-year-old man who died following an incident at house in Kingswood on Friday night.

The man has been named this morning (March 28) as Bradley Lewis by Avon and Somerset Police. A forensic post-mortem examination has shown he died from a single stab wound to the chest.

It followed an incident at a house in Chipperfield Drive which South Western Ambulance Service and police were called to on Friday at 8.20pm.

Mr Lewis was taken to hospital where he sadly died in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Abigail White, 23, of Chipperfield Drive, will appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court charged with Mr Lewis’ murder today.

The family of Mr Lewis have released a short tribute.

It said: “Our wonderful much-loved son Bradley, taken from us too early.”

Police said the family was being kept up to date on the criminal investigation.

On Friday, the force said it was increasing patrols in the area to support and reassure the local community.

In its statement this morning, the force said: “A 23-year-old woman has been charged with murder after a man died in hospital following an incident at a house in Kingswood, South Gloucestershire, on Friday night.

“Abigail White, of Chipperfield Drive, has been remanded in custody to appear before Bristol Magistrates’ Court today.

“She has been charged with the murder of 22-year-old Bradley Lewis. His family have been updated on this development in our investigation.”

Over the weekend, at the scene of the incident on Friday night, flowers have been laid in tribute to Mr Lewis.
