Elderly woman attacked at bus stop - urgent CCTV appeal

A woman in her 70s was punched several times to her head and body in an unprovoked attack at a bus stop in Kingswood.

Avon and Somerset Police have issued a CCTV image of a woman they wish to identify in the connection with the attack on Wednesday, April 13, at around 5pm.

Police say the victim was approached by an unknown woman while waiting at a bus stop next to Boswells Café on Regent Street.

After the attack, the offender headed towards Bar 501, accompanied by two other men.

The victim attended hospital to be checked over but thankfully did not suffer any serious injuries.

A police spokesperson said: “We believe there were several witnesses to this incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
