Burglars are targeting neighbourhoods across Bristol, according to data from police.uk.which has helped us produce an interactive map showing the worst-hit areas.

It comes as Avon and Somerset Police issued a commitment to attend all home burglaries from now on. Chief Inspector Karen Corrigan admitted that the force must do better to clamp down on offenders.

She said 5.6% of home burglaries were currently solved in the region in an interview with BBC Radio Bristol, and that the force was previously attending 86.7% of incidents after they had been reported.

According to data from police.uk, there were 3,692 burglaries reported in Bristol and South Gloucestershire in the year up to September 2022, with the highest number (93) being in the city centre and Queens Square.

We’ve taken out the city centre areas to reveal the neighbourhoods in both Bristol and South Gloucestershire with the highest number of burglaries reported.
