Ashton Gate toilet damage: Police release showing toilets trashed by Cardiff City fans

Cardiff City have since offered to fund the costs of the damage

Police have released images of criminal damage caused to toilets by angry fans at Ashton Gate Stadium after Cardiff City’ s 3-2 defeat to Bristol City.

Significant damage was caused to the toilets in the Atyeo Stand, which houses away fans, following the Severnside derby match on Saturday (January 22).

The pictures show extensive damage to the ceiling.

Cardiff City have since offered to fund the costs and said they were disappointed by the behaviour of the supporters.

Lighting fixtures also appeared to be damaged.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “If anyone saw the damage being caused, or has information on who was responsible, please call us on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5222018809.”
