A man arrested in connection with the death of a moped rider in a crash on the Bristol Ring Road has been released under investigation as police continue to appeal for witnesses.

The teenager was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the collision between his moped and a Ford Fiesta on the A4174 at the Wraxall Road roundabout in Warmley on Sunday night (April 17).

Although he has not yet been named, police have confirmed that he was just 16-years-old.

The teenager’s devastated family are currently being supported by trained officers.

The roundabout was sealed off for a number of hours before reopening shortly before 5.30am on Monday morning.

A 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has since bee released under investigation.

Police are continuing to piece together the circumstances leading up the crash and are looking to speak to anyone who might seen what happened.
