The southbound of the St Philips Causeway dual carriageway near Avonmeads has been closed due to an ‘incident’. It has led to queues in the area as motorists take a diversion.

Travelwest tweeted shortly before 1pm today (February 22) that the incident was close to Days Road, at the northern end of the road bridge. Traffic is being diverted through Barton Hill Road, by The Storage Building. Google Maps is showing heavy traffic in the area as a result.

The dual carriageway is a major route from Brislington to St Pauls and the M32.
