Motorways are set to be blocked around Bristol today as angry protestors descend for a demonstration against soaring fuel costs.
A slow-moving roadblock across parts of the M4, M5 and M32 is planned for this morning (Friday, July 22) after similar protests at the start of the month.

The aim is to coerce government officials in cutting fuel duty costs as most filling stations across the country are seeing petrol and diesel priced at near or above £2 per litre.
According to the RAC, the average price of petrol is 191.53p per litre, whilst diesel stands at a record-high of 199.03p per litre.

Traffic is heavy from Cribbs Causeway to Portway as we end this live blog today. Stay safe if travelling down the motorways this evening.
While Avon and Somerset Police say they don’t expect the M4 or M32 will be affected today, things are looking bad on the M5, with around ‘30 miles’ or queues spanning from Bristol towards Taunton.
Both the northbound and southbound carriageways are affected.

Traffic cameras from Highways England are still showing tailbacks on the M5 due to the protest. Queues are slow moving or at a standstill between Junctions 16 and 25.

@HeartSWNews says that vehicles can’t get into the forecourt.
