The Michelin Guide 2023 has been released – and 18 Bristol restaurants have made the cut
Two more restaurants in Bristol have been included in the Michelin Guide for 2023. The prestigious list recommends restaurants its inspectors deem to be producing high-quality food around the country.
The city’s latest additions, found in Bedminster and Redcliffe take the number of restaurants and pubs in the guide up to an impressive 18.The series of guidebooks have been published by the French tyre company Michelin since 1900. The Guide awards up to three Michelin stars for excellence to a select few establishments, while it awards Bib Gourmands and recommends others.

9. Root, Wapping Wharf
‘Produce from small local suppliers is used in simple yet flavour-packed small plates formed around vegetables. They have a modern, sometimes intriguing style and inventive touches.'
10. Marmo, city centre
‘Cosmo Sterck offers a concise menu of Italian dishes from his open kitchen, while his smiley wife Lily takes care of the organic and biodynamic wines.'

‘A wood-fired rotisserie oven where they cook chicken stuffed with rice takes centre stage. These are joined by exquisite ramen, Korean daily specials, and homemade kombucha and soju.'
