Bristol cinema to offer popcorn for just £1 for one day only

Cinemagoers will be able to enjoy the movie snack for the special rate on National Popcorn Day

A Bristol cinema will offer popcorn for just £1 to mark National Popcorn Day on Friday (January 19).       

Cinemagoers at Showcase Avonmeads off St Philips Causeway will be able to claim the offer when they purchase a small popcorn portion on the special day.

Films showing on the day include Mean Girls, Poor Things, The Boys In The Boat, The Beekeeper and Wonka.         

Jon Dixon, UK marketing director at Showcase Cinemas, said: “We’re celebrating National Popcorn Day this year by treating all our customers to a bargain, with a tasty portion of our freshly popped popcorn for just £1!    

“So, sit back and relax at your local Showcase Cinema with the UK’s favourite movie snack and an epic film on the big screen…what better way is there to ease into the new year?” 

The Avonmeads cinema, which recently installed luxury recliner seating, became Showcase’s only site in Bristol following the closure of Cinema De Lux in Cabot Circus in November.
