The 7 new shop openings at Cabot Circus in Bristol 2023 - including city’s first H&M Home
Cabot Circus in Bristol draws in thousands of shoppers every week
The high street has had it tough recently with a shop or pub closure seemingly making the news daily. But there is optimism, and new shop openings at Bristol’s Cabot Circus.
The Hammersmith-owned shopping centre which opened in 2008 has not escaped the downturn in the economy with closures including Klosterhaus, Victoria’s Secret and Boux Avenue.
But there are several new shop openings which are continuing to draw shoppers to the centre. Some have already opened this year, some are planned for later in the year.
Lisa Jones, General Manager, Cabot Circus said: “We’re constantly exploring emerging trends and opportunities that really drive customer engagement, so we’re really excited to welcome this line-up of household, local and new-to-Bristol brands.
“A strong retail offering is the foundation of our placemaking ambitions which we are bringing to life in innovative ways. This was demonstrated last year with headline grabbing pop-ups including the Skatepark in partnership with Red Bull and Bristol-based Canvas and Instagramable moments including the Pride steps created by Upfest. Our customers can expect more high-profile activations in 2023 utilising local and international talent.”
Here’s a list of seven openings we know about so far:

1. Goldsmiths
The luxury high street jeweller opened the doors to its brand new refit at Cabot Circus on March 7. Alongside offering Rolex watches, it features brands such as OMEGA, Breitling, Bremont and Longines. Executive director Craig Bolton said: “We are delighted to be opening our new-look store in Cabot Circus."

2. Lush
Lush has relocated from Broadmead to Cabot Circus - a move which has seen it double its shop size. It replaces lingerie brand Boux Avenue. The new store opened on April 7. Shop manager Rebecca Grundy said: “We want to bring our ‘small shop energy’ that our customers know and love into a broader space of fresh, handmade innovations with more room to offer experiences. I’ve been so proud to serve this community, and I’m excited to see it grow.” (Photo credit: Will Austin)

3. Zebel Bespoke
Cabot Circus’ menswear offer is also being strengthened with the addition of London-based tailored suits specialists Zebel Bespoke. No opening date has been shared as yet.

4. H&M and H&M Home
Eagle-eyed shoppers will have noticed H&M closed in February. But do not fear, the store is being refurbished and ‘upsized’ for opening in the summer with Bristol’s first ever H&M Home. It will feature a contemporary collection of homewares, décor and furniture.
