We look inside Bristol’s once-grand Ashton Court Mansion as new group forms to restore derelict building

A new campaign group has been set up to restore a landmark building in Bristol with an estimated repair cost of £20m.

Save Ashton Court Mansion wants to raise funds to restore the historic Grade I listed building, which is now two-thirds derelict.

The Bristol City Council-owned building was for 400 years owned by the famous Smyth family, with parts dating back to the 14th Century.
