Halloween is less than a week away, making it the perfect time to visit some of the spookiest places in Bristol.

From a cemetery to a park were a monk is believed to have died, trapped in a ‘priest hole’, here are the six most haunted parks in Bristol.

1. Ashton Court
On moonlit nights, a headless horseman is said to ride around the grounds of Ashton Court Estate. Grey ladies who float through locked doors and phantom hounds have also been sighted. | National World

2. Stoke Park
The monument at Stoke Park was built in 1760 to commemorate the life of the daughter of the fourth Duke of Beaufort, Lady Elizabeth Somerset, who died after a fall from her horse near this spot on May 7, 1760. Her ghost is believed to haunt the grounds with horse hooves said to be heard, despite no horses being in the area for years. | National World

3. Arnos Vale Cemetery, Bath Road, Arnos Vale
Visitors have reported feeling an overwhelming sense of sadness at the site. Two female ghosts are said to reside at the cemetery. The first is a black female figure who is often spotted crying over the death of her husband who was killed in WWI. The second ghost is seen crying an panicked after she was supposedly buried alive at Arnos Vale Cemetery. | Arnos Vale

4. Suspension Bridge & Leigh Woods
The ghost of Brunel wearing his famous tall hat and cloak is said to reside at a vantage point in Leigh Woods, which overlooks the bridge. There have also been sightings of the spirits of those who have ended their lives by jumping from the bridge to the gorge below. The most known one is a man who is often seen wandering through the woods and always heading to the end of the suspension bridge. | National World
