It is down to many people looking to fly out for an Easter break over the school holidays. Another factor is the start of two airlines - Aegean Airlines and Sun Express - running flights from Bristol. And they will soon be joined by Corendon Airlines.

There will also soon be an increased frequency on the Swiss Air service to Zurich.

Last Easter, the airport faced daily issues with people queuing up for security to get to make their flights - some even missed them. As a result, the airport is rminding peopel to arrive at check-in at least two hours before the scheduled departure time.

It has also reminded people to prepare for arriving at security by having their boarding card ready, laptops removed and liquids placed in bags.
