A4 Bath Road Bristol incident: Long delays from Keynsham as police attend

Traffic is heavy going toward Bristol on a major route this morning after an incident which has partially blocked the road. The incident happened near to the former Wyevale Garden Centre on the Bristol-bound side of the A4 Bath Road, after the Hicks Gate roundabout.

It has led to delays up the Keynsham bypass, the A4174 from Longwell Green and Durley Hill from Keynsham.

The incident was reported at 8.45am, and is likely to impact bus services too. An eyewitness said police and ambulance vehicles were in attendance.

TravelWest England tweeted: “A4 Hicks gate roundabout to towards Park and Ride. Partially blocked due to incident, approach with caution, Expect delays #twTraffic#Bristol.”

Bristol World has contacted Avon and Somerset Police for comment.
