Not everyone in Bristol is in support of the monarchy

Unless you’ve had your head in sand over the past week you’ll be aware of a big event happening this Saturday. Yes, on Saturday (May 6) the King’s coronational takes place and there will be parties over the weekend in the city to mark the occasion.

At Bristol Cathedral and Bristol and Bath Science Park in South Gloucestershire a free and live screening of the ceremony from London will be shown, while thousands will watch it also on their own televisions.

Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer says it will be a ‘magical moment’ as the public is asked to pay their alliegence to the newly crowned monarch following the death of Queen Elizabeth.
