The Platinum Jubilee is a celebration that marks Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th year on the throne - an achievement that the Royal reached on 6 February this year.

The bank holiday weekend will see four days of celebrations, with typical events such as Trooping the Colour, a Platinum Jubilee concert, a pageant, and a Service of Thanksgiving.

To mark Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th anniversary on the throne, the country will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee from Thursday, 2 June to Sunday, 5 June in 2022.

What street parties are taking place in Bristol?

There are thousands of street parties taking place throughout the United Kingdom, bringing people together to honour the Queen and celebrate her Platinum Jubilee.

Residents line their streets with tables full of food, drink (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), partake in various forms of entertainment and enjoy themselves.

The Ardagh are putting on a huge four-day event to honour this year’s Platinum Jubilee, bookending with a fun-filled street party that has huge demand.

Taking place on the sports courts, you can celebrate Her Majesty in a nice picnic with friends and family.

The street party will take place on Sunday, 5 June at Horfield Common from 12 pm to 3 pm - plus, it is totally free to attend and everyone is welcome.

Street Party at Bloomfield Care Centre

Join fellow Bristolians, friends and family to enjoy a street party boasting all the nice tea and cake ready to be indulged at the Bloomfield Care Centre.
