‘High winds’ force cancellation of Christmas market as Bristol braces for Storm Arwen
A popular Christmas market in Bristol has been cancelled for tomorrow (Saturday, November 27) due to ‘high winds’, as Storm Arwen heads for Bristol.
The Redcliffe and Temple BID said it had taken the ‘difficult’ decision to cancel its Finzels Reach Christmas market tomorrow due to windy weather.
The market was still able to run yesterday and today.

Hide AdThe BID said on its Twitter page: “The safety of our stall holders and the public is our main priority.
“We hope you understand this difficult decision and we thank you for your continued support.”
It comes as the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for wind which will run in the region from midnight until 6pm tomorrow (Saturday, November 27).
The arrival of Storm Arwen means that wind gusts could reach a whopping 54mph in the South West this weekend.

Hide AdFinzels Reach market featured a host of local producers including Espensen Spirit, Two Belly and Left Handed Giant.
There was also handmade gifts on offer from local crafters while live music was also played.
