A commercial interiors firm is expanding with the opening of new offices in Bristol - it says will be among the most Instagrammable in the city.

Paramount, which has its headquarters in Cardiff and has been trading since 1989, will open the new office in Welsh Back in July, creating up to 20 new jobs.

It signals an intention by the Welsh company to expand operations into Bristol and beyond.

Sales director Kevin Mashford, who will lead the Bristol team, said: “We are really excited to be opening an office in the heart of Bristol and we look forward to ensuring Paramount keeps going from strength to strength.

“Paramount’s success is based on its exceptionally talented team of people who take a huge amount of pride in working together with our clients to ensure we achieve the highest possible standards.

“It will not only be a highly practical, destination workspace, but also one of the city’s most aesthetically-pleasing, ‘Instagrammable’ offices to attract the talented people who will maintain our momentum and help Paramount clients prosper.”

The office building is currently being fitted out by Paramount and will also house Bristol-based Bafta-nominated natural history film-making company, Offspring Films.

The company says it is using state-of-the-art design capabilities to celebrate Welsh Back architecture and create a meeting place for the Bristol business community.

The new office represents another chapter in the development of a company that in 2018 was the subject of a management buy-out, led by Paramount’s managing director, Richard Jones.

Mr Jones said: “The opening of the Bristol office is a real statement of intent by Paramount.

“It confirms our commitment to invest further in our people, our facilities, and the exceptional service we provide for our clients to ensure we continue to be one of the best in our field.”

Paramount, whose turnover currently stands at £33.5million, is already well known across England where it has developed office space for a number of leading companies, including Highways England, Nordic Semiconductors and BT.

The firm is currently on working on a project at 360 Bristol, a 25,000 sq ft refurbishment for Salaft Property at The Cube.

Paramount also sponsors the Bristol Bears rugby star, Wales international fly-half Elinor Snowsill.

Closer to home, Paramount has fitted out the dressing rooms at the world-famous Principality Stadium and is currently delivering Wales and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale’s new bar, restaurant and mini-golf concept, Par 59 in Cardiff.

Other large-scale design and fit-out projects include the Office for National Statistics HQ in Newport, the 50,000 sq-ft Hodge House re-development and the Development Bank of Wales’ new workplace at Capital Quarter in Cardiff.
