She is a multi-award winning journalist, having won a Royal Statistical Society Statistical Excellence in Journalism Award, as well as Data Journalist of the Year at the Regional Press Awards (alongside Aimee Stanton, another member of NationalWorld.com’s data and investigations team at the time). She has also been shortlisted for a British Journalism Award, for the Society of Editors Media Freedom Awards, and for the Private Eye Paul Foot Award for investigative journalism while leading the wider National World investigations team in a project to expose the shortcomings in the criminal justice system’s efforts to tackle modern slavery and human trafficking.
