South Gloucestershire road closures: dozens of for motorists to avoid this week

South Gloucestershire's motorists will have 30 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M32, from 9.30pm January 4 to 6am January 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 1 closed between the exit and entry slips for survey works, diversion via the southbound, exit and entry slips.

M32, from 8.30pm January 12 to 6am February 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 northbound, junction 1 closed between the exit and entry slips for survey works, diversion via the northbound, exit and entry slips.

M5, from 6am January 5 to 8pm February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 18a to 17 lane closure 24 / seven northbound, for fence work and pond removal.

M48, from 9pm October 4 2021 to 6am March 9 2022, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M48 Severn Bridge eastbound, carriageway closed overnight for bridge maintenance works. Diversion via M4 Prince of Wales Bridge.

M32, from 8.30pm January 18 to 6am March 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 northbound and southbound, junction 1 exit slips lane closures for survey works.

M48, from 9pm October 11 2021 to 6am March 16 2022, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M48 Severn Bridge westbound, carriageway closed overnight for maintenance works. Diversion via M4 Prince of Wales Bridge.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
