Good news as food hygiene ratings given to seven South Gloucestershire establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to seven of South Gloucestershire’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to four restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Cafe Oasis at 115 High Street, Staple Hill, South Gloucestershire; rated on November 14

• Rated 5: Willow Brook Harvester at Town Square Units 5-7, Willow Brook Centre, Savages Wood Road, Bradley Stoke; rated on November 13

• Rated 5: Pret A Manger at Unit L18, Cribbs Causeway Regional Shopping Centre, Patchway, South Gloucestershire; rated on November 10

• Rated 5: Badminton Arms at The Badminton Arms, Badminton Road, Coalpit Heath, South Gloucestershire; rated on November 2

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: The Lamb Inn at 36 Windsor Place, Mangotsfield, Bristol, South Gloucestershire; rated on November 16

• Rated 5: Thorn's Farm at 11-17 South Parade, Yate, South Gloucestershire; rated on November 8
