Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to 22 South Gloucestershire establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 22 of South Gloucestershire’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to 10 restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Baxter Storey at Amazon Building, Avonmouth Trading Estate, Severn Beach, South Gloucestershire; rated on April 1

• Rated 5: Yo! at The Avenue, The Mall, Cribbs Causeway Regional Shopping C, Patchway; rated on April 1

• Rated 5: Blue Sky Cafe at 9 The Square, Broad Street, Staple Hill, South Gloucestershire; rated on March 28

• Rated 5: Cadbury Heath Youth Club at Park Road, Warmley, Bristol, South Gloucestershire; rated on March 28

• Rated 5: Papilio At Heritage at 24 High Street, Thornbury, South Gloucestershire; rated on March 28

• Rated 5: The Hideout Lounge & Bistro Limited at Tortworth Business Park, Tortworth, South Gloucestershire; rated on March 23
