Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to 10 South Gloucestershire establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 10 of South Gloucestershire’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to five restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Beijing Chinese Restaurant at Unit 5, Baileys Court, Webbs Wood Road, Bradley Stoke; rated on March 23

• Rated 5: Tamarind Indian Restaurant at 5 Badminton Road, Downend, Bristol, South Gloucestershire; rated on March 23

• Rated 5: Vintage Birdcage Cakery On The Bridge at The Bridge, Wotton Road, Charfield; rated on March 21

• Rated 5: The Stables At Vayre House at Vayre House, Hatters Lane, Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire; rated on March 20

• Rated 5: The White Elephant Restaurant And Coffee Shop at Kingswood Foundation Estate, Britannia Road, Kingswood, South Gloucestershire; rated on March 14

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:
