Road closures: six for North Somerset drivers this week

Drivers in and around North Somerset will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M5, from 9pm October 6 to 6am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 lane closures for bridge surveys.

• M5, from 9pm October 6 to 6am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 lane closure for bridge surveys.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M5, from 8pm October 17 to 5am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 to 22 lane closure for vegetation works.

• M5, from 9pm October 17 to 6am November 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19 lane closures for surveys.

• M5, from 10pm October 17 to 6am November 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18 - Lane closures for Structure maintenance.

• M5, from 10pm October 21 to 6am October 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 lane closure for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
