Road closures: eight for North Somerset drivers this week

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start this week:

M5, from 1am to 6am on August 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 lane closure for barrier repairs.

M5, from 9pm August 31 to 6am September 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 entry slip road closure for barrier repairs, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 20.

M5, from 9pm September 2 to 5am September 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to junction 20 - Lane closure for Structure maintenance.

M5, from 9pm September 5 to 5am September 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to 20 lane closures for resurfacing.

M5, from 9pm September 8 to 6am September 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 to 22 closed for power line works on behalf of Western Power. Diversion via A370, Devonshire Road, A370 to junction 22.

M5, from 9pm September 8 to 6am September 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 22 to 21 closed for power line works on behalf of Western Power. Diversion via A370, Devonshire Road, A370 to junction 21.

M5, from 11pm September 9 to 6am September 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 20 exit Slip closure for Horticulture, diversion route: Continue to junction 21 and return to junction 20.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
