North Somerset's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

North Somerset's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm October 2 to 6am October 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 entry slip road closed for carriageway repairs, diversion via M5 northbound, exit, junction 20 to turn and return southbound.

M5, from 10pm October 2 to 6am October 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 entry slip closed for surveys. Diversion via, junction 20 and back.

M5, from 8pm October 4 to 5am October 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to junction 20 lane closures for resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
