North Somerset road closures: six for motorists to avoid this week

North Somerset's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9pm August 15 to 6am August 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 Both Directions, junction 20 to junction 21 Lane closures for Structural maintenance, diversion for, junction 20 southbound, entry Slip and junction 20 northbound, exit Slip - M5 northbound to junction 19 and return, diversion for, junction 20 southbound, exit Slip - M5 southbound to junction 21 and return.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M5, from 10pm August 22 to 5am August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to junction 20 - Lane closure for Structure maintenance.

M5, from 11pm August 24 to 5am August 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to junction 20 - Lane closure for Structure maintenance.

M5, from 9pm August 30 to 6am August 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 lane closure for barrier repairs.

M5, from 9pm August 31 to 6am September 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 entry slip road closure for barrier repairs, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 20.

M5, from 9pm September 5 to 5am September 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to 20 lane closures for resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
