North Somerset's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start this week:

M5, from 9pm May 18 to 6am May 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 exit slip - lane closure for construction improvement.

M5, from 9pm May 18 to 6am May 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 - Lane closure leading to junction 19 exit slip road closed for Construction improvement/Upgrade, diversion: continue M5 south, exit, junction 20, turn and re-join M5 north, exit, junction 19.

M5, from 9pm May 25 to 6am May 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 20 to 19 northbound, lane closure for survey works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
