North Somerset road closures: seven for motorists to avoid this week
North Somerset's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures are due to start this week:
• M5, from 9pm September 26 to 6am September 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 entry slip road closure for bridge surveys, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 22.
• M5, from 10pm September 26 to 5am September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 Lane closures on exit slip road for Electrical Work.
• M5, from 9pm September 27 to 6am September 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 exit slip road closure for bridge surveys, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 22 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
